John, an avid Lake Erie walleye fisherman,  recieved a trip on Lake Ontario with us for Father's Day from his daughters Leanne, Danielle, Nicky and Kelsey
While the winds blew and the waves built, it made it hard to work the rods and control the boat. With a few fish already hitting the deck, we talked about continuing our trip another on another day.
That's when the starboard rigger rod started screaming as line peeled off the reel.
Fortunately,  it was John's turn on the rod and after gaining and losing line, I was finally able to slide the net under the fish.
It was when I went to lift it into the boat, I truly knew it was a special one. 
Just shy of the magical 30lb mark, this 29lb and change was definitely a fish to remember and John got to share it with 2 of his daughters which makes it even more special.
